On October 4th the Class of 2024’s senior retreat was held at La Salette Shrine in Attleboro, MA. The day was filled with prayer, music by PAWS, group activities, faculty speeches, and lots of fun!

The retreat started off with each group creating a fun team name and reminiscing on their time at Feehan. Seniors revisited their favorite moments of prayer, friendship, and challenges during their time at Feehan. A lot has changed within the past four years and the senior retreat was a great place to reflect on those changes.

Throughout the retreat, the seniors got to listen to multiple members of the faculty who talked about their prayer life and how they got to where they are today. These talks were very beneficial to the seniors, especially at a stressful time full of college applications and questioning their futures! The faculty speakers included Mrs. Jacovino, Mr. Speidel, Mr. Walsh, Sra. Cryan, and Mr. Adams.

Here are some highlights from two of the speeches at the senior retreat:

Mrs. Jacovino, one of the day’s speakers, told the class of 2024 her career story. (Mrs. Demers )

Mrs. Jacovino provided insight on her track to becoming a teacher at Feehan. Even though she thought she knew her final destination when going to college, she ultimately changed her major from Nursing and decided to pursue her interest in English instead. Mrs. Jacovino highlighted her lifelong passion for reading and how important it was to her. It was inspiring to hear her story and realize that it is okay to not know exactly how our futures will play out.

Mr. Speidel gave insight on how to incorporate prayer into our everyday lives while actively working towards a relationship with God. He shared multiple tips and life advice that will benefit the seniors in their futures. He exercises mercy and love for all of his students. Lastly, he mentions that he believes that one day he will be the Saint of pull-through parking!

All of the speeches were inspiring and provided the seniors with comfort knowing that everything will work out in the end no matter how different their path may start off.

To close the day, a beautiful Mass was held in the chapel with Fr. Craig accompanied by Mrs. Seals on the piano. Thank you to Campus Ministry and everyone who made such a memorable day possible for the Class of 2024!
