During the week of September 29 – October 4, Bishop Feehan High School celebrated its annual Homecoming Week. The week was filled with school spirit, themed activities, and traditions that brought the entire community together.
Throughout the school week, students participated in special themed TAG days, including Jersey Day, Pink Out, and College Sweatshirt Day. On the final day, each class proudly wore their custom designed class shirts, created by the Student Council. One of the highlights of the week was the annual College Bowl, hosted by Mr. Kevin Winter on Thursday, October 2nd. Grades faced off in a trivia-style competition, answering questions that ranged from sports and pop culture to academic subjects. Juniors faced off against freshmen, while sophomores battled the seniors. “It’s upsetting that we lost for sure, we really thought this would be an easy win for the seniors,” said senior Sofiana Azzouz, after the juniors defeated the seniors by just a few points. The energy in the room was electric, and in the end, it was the faculty team that stole the show, defeating the juniors in the final round.
That evening students also participated in hall decorating, showcasing their creativity while each class stayed true to its chosen movie genre theme.
Friday’s Homecoming Rally capped off the school day with lively skits performed by each grade, bringing their class themes to life on stage. The freshmen entertained the crowd by showcasing popular musicals. Sophomores took on the Wild West, juniors brought romance to life, and seniors delivered an action packed performance. The teachers joined the fun with their own K-Pop Demon Hunters skit, which quickly became a crowd favorite. Senior Ella Ribeiro expressed, “The rally was amazing! This year’s skits were so creative and fun to watch.”
The week wrapped up with Saturday’s festivities, starting with the Homecoming football game against Boston College High, which ended with a 35-13 victory for the Shamrocks! Later that evening, the Homecoming Dance was held outdoors on the tennis courts, giving students a fun and unique setting to celebrate. Students enjoyed Chick-fil-A from catering trucks, grabbed drinks, and posed for pictures at the photo booth to capture the night.
Homecoming Week 2025 was truly one to remember. Between spirited competitions, colorful TAG days, imaginative skits, and the excitement of the football game and dance, students came together to celebrate their school spirit.
