Class of 2027 Student Council Bios

Below is information about the Class of 2027 Student Council candidates, submitted by each candidate.

Candidate 1: Emily Azzouz

Leadership Experience:
– Elected to Student Council this year with other previous experience – Part of BFHS Swim and Dive team, Cross Country, and Track Skills:

Goals If Elected:
– start a tiktok account to advertise dances/events
– increasing student attendance at games and dances/events

Why I Want to Serve:
Serving on Student Council gives me a sense of purpose, and helps me understand the thought, energy, and love that our Student Council puts in for the rest of the Student Body. Being a voice for a new class of students has made me realize the depth to which mindsets differ between grades and allows me to make better informed decisions, when it comes to brainstorming ideas that my classmates would enjoy. I am happy to serve our school and the great Feehan Family.

Goals If Elected:
– Make sure all student voices are heard – Get homeroom reps more involved
– Make Feehan a better place for everyone

Why I Want to Serve:
I want to serve on student council because I want to leave a lasting, positive impact here at Feehan by the time I leave. I also want to help plan some of the events and rallies.

-I served as a student council officer this past year.
-I have been the captain of my club soccer team for the past year. -I help lead a children’s play in my church.

Skills:
-I am enthusiastic about the things I am involved in.
-I am confident in what I believe in.
-I am engaged in my surroundings.

Goals If Elected:
-I want people to feel comfortable talking to school leaders.
-I intend to communicate to all people.
-I intend to bring more creative ideas to dances.
-I want to create more innovative student events.

Why I want to serve:
I want to serve on student council because it will give me a chance to use my leadership skills effectively. Also, I love to plan events and take responsibility which I know student council will give me.

Leadership Experience:
I served as a student council officer for the Bishop Feehan 2023-2024 school year. I have participated in many sports, dance, and theater throughout freshman year and middle school, which required great sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership. I serve as a volunteer at Mercymount and as a demonstrator for ballet for young children.

Skills:
I am very enthusiastic about hearing and sharing new ideas for bettering our school and the Feehan Community. I am confident and willing to speak up when I feel something is not right or someone is not being treated fairly or with respect. I have a very strong work ethic and am very productive; I make sure to complete tasks and projects within allotted timeframes.

Goals If Elected:
Some of my ideas include creative fundraiser drives, new and exciting school dance themes, and overall working together with the class of 2027 to leave a meaningful legacy.

Why I want to serve:
I would like to serve on Student Council again because I have very much enjoyed my time this year serving Bishop Feehan’s freshman class and the school as a whole. I look forward to continuing to contribute to our amazing school through this very empowered and collaborative council.

-build upon events from last year
-Add more school events
-enhancing communication between students and administration

Why I want to serve:
I’m really passionate about being on student council because it’s something I genuinely care about. As the current president for the class of 2027, I have valuable experience that will help me make a positive impact next year. I already have a bunch of exciting ideas to enhance school events. Vote for me, Serena, and let’s make these improvements happen together!

– Many years of student council throughout middle school/highschool – Assistant basketball coach for a middle school team

– I make sure to hear everyone’s ideas no matter who you are
– I focus on getting a job done
– I am not afraid to go straight to talk to an adult about an idea

Goals If Elected:
– To improve the activities and games at Feehan
– To work towards increasing participation in the student body

Why I want to serve:
I was fortunate enough to be elected as the vice president of the freshman class this year. It allowed me to see the impact that a small group of high schoolers can make. These impacts can be big like running the pep rally or something smaller like creating gift baskets for the children at Dana Farber. Making high school a more enjoyable place for everyone is my goal and student council is the best place for that.

– Make all school events enjoyable for all students

– Advocate and listen to students voices while representing their interests

Why I Want to Serve:
I wish to serve on student council because I know I will be a great addition to the council who is ready to serve and help. I believe that I have adequate leadership skills, as well as a thorough understanding of my responsibilities. I am a three season athlete, I maintain high honors in my classes, and I am part of Feehan’s Multicultural Association. I am certain that, if elected, I will make a positive impact on Feehan.

-one year on Feehan student council including 3 SEMASC conferences and 1 MASC conference
-captain of club soccer team

Skills:
-I have a lot of school spirit that motivates me to commit to school events and fully immerse myself in student council
-I am outgoing and am always up for a challenge

Goals If Elected:
-make school events more appealing to student population (could create a student council mailbox)
-get more people on student council to attend the MASC conference

Why I want to serve:
I came into Feehan unsure of what student council was and if I would truly want to be on it. After making it on, I fell in love with every aspect of it. I would love to keep serving on it and trying to make a difference at Feehan.

-Be able to interact more rich the community

-Enrich culture/tradition

Why I want to serve:
Throughout my freshmen year I’ve seen how nice the community and atmosphere has become even if I haven’t been here for a while. Seeing how accepting and loving the community was made me want to have a bigger voice and interact with the community.

Goals if Elected:
-Making school activities inclusive to everyone
-Having school dances be fun and enjoyable
-Helping others to become the best versions of themselves

Why I want to serve:
I would like to serve on student council because I love my school and community and I would love to be more involved. I also love being a leader and helping others out and I know that student council will help me accomplish that. I also love participating in school activities and showing school spirt. Overall I’m just really excited to have the opportunity to be on student council!
