Dear Lucky,

Is it stupid to feel wanted?

Dear Student,

As teens (or any age for that matter) we crave one thing, acceptance. Whether it be from friends, family, significant others etc. We all want to feel wanted because (as basic as it is) we live in an overly competitive and nosy society. We see people posting what they are doing with their friends on Instagram, Snapchat, or Tik Tok, and can it feel as though we are missing out on something. We see it in the comedic movies, where the main character has a sidekick, romantic movies where people find their significant other, or even hear it in songs that are written about friends, lovers, or growing up. It’s not stupid to feel wanted because everyone wants to feel wanted, especially teenagers.
