Mr. Walsh, Bishop Feehan Class of 1992, has returned to his alma mater to spread his knowledge of history to the younger generations of Feehan students. Mr. Walsh grew up in Attleboro, MA, and is married to his wife Melissa. He has two sons named Declan (11) and Keeghan (9) who both want to attend Feehan in the future.

Bishop Feehan has been a part of Mr. Walsh’s family for a long time. His father graduated from Feehan in 1967, his mother in 1969, as well as several aunts and uncles. During Mr. Walsh’s time as a Feehan student, he served as student council president and was the captain of the varsity tennis team. In 1990, the tennis team won the conference championship. In 1991, Mr. Walsh moderated an Attleboro mayoral debate between the incumbent mayor, Kai Shang, and eventual winner, Judith Robbins, as student council president. After Feehan, Mr. Walsh graduated from Florida International University where he attained membership into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society before receiving his master’s degree in public administration from Framingham State University.

Before returning to Feehan, Mr. Walsh served as an assistant football coach for a wide variety of positions at Bentley University, as well as being named the the director of football operations in 2010. Following this, Mr. Walsh traveled to Florida and served as a student assistant coach for the University of Miami, and eventually assisted the football program at Florida International University and worked in the student-athlete academic center. After many years, Mr. Walsh returned to Bentley as the Wide Receiver coach and was most recently at Framingham State University as the assistant director of undergraduate admissions and athletic liaison.

Mr. Walsh returned to Feehan this year and teaches World History I and U.S. History II. Mr. Walsh stated, “I have always liked politics and government and history ever since I was a kid. The opportunity to talk and teach others is a great opportunity.” He is excited about extending his knowledge to current Feehan students. Mr. Walsh loves the family atmosphere at Feehan and the student’s willingness to learn. He is extremely appreciative of how supportive the administration has been of him as a new teacher this year.

Outside of the classroom, Mr. Walsh is heavily involved in athletics at Feehan. He is the freshman girl’s basketball coach, as well as an assistant coach for the girl’s varsity basketball team. The freshman girl’s basketball team went undefeated for the 2022-23 season! Just recently, Mr. Walsh joined the Bishop Feehan football staff after coaching at North Attleboro High School for 8 years. Mr. Walsh is very excited about the upcoming season in the Fall!

It is so important to have fun and supportive teachers who make it exciting to learn new things, and Mr. Walsh is definitely one of them!
Fun fact: Mr. Walsh knows his presidents! The next time you see Mr. Walsh in the hallway, say any number, and he will know the president!
