As CCL champions, Bishop Feehan’s Girls basketball team made an impressive run in the state championship tournament this season. Although not the outcome they were hoping for, the girls were able to complete their season with over 20 wins for the fourth year in a row.
Coach Dolores commends the girls for being “a focused group who competed every day with a great love for the game.” Not only was the team focused on winning games, they each had had a “willingness to work hard” which helped carry them so far into the state tournament.
The leadership of this year’s captains has set an example for the girls’ basketball team for many years to come. Senior Captains Maddy Steel, Lily Singer, Sam Carlson, and Charlotte Adams- Lopez all worked together to become leaders for the team this year, following the loss of three graduating seniors the year before. They certainly filled those shoes, exceeding expectations and, as Coach Dolores stated, “becoming the winning-most class in Feehan girls basketball history” with their cumulative record of 87-15 in the last four years.
Congratulations to this group of Shamrocks! The entire Feehan community is so proud and can’t wait for next season.
