This year, Bishop Feehan hosted two successful blood drives, making a meaningful impact on the community. The first drive collected 37 units of blood, while the second brought in 35 units, for a total of 72 units donated.
Since each unit has the potential to save up to 3 lives, our students and staff contributed to saving an estimated 216 lives!
At the first blood drive, 42 individuals step up to donate, with 71% being first-time donors. The second drive also had 42 attempted donors, with 57% of them donating for the first time.
These numbers highlight the growing commitment of our school community to giving back and supporting those in need.
Blood donation is a simple yet powerful way to make a difference, and the participation from our students and staff demonstrates the generosity and compassion here at Feehan.
The club is not done yet, though. They plan to collect donations through a bake sale they are preparing on May 9. All profits will be donated to the American Red Cross Association!
