“Only 5’4“ but wants to help make a big impact, and help you some more!”
Instagram: @cast_a_vote_misiamcnulty or @misiamcnulty
Leadership experience:
– I was involved in my communities of Norfolk MA, girls scout troop for 5 years, While working in the program I learned leadership qualities through the hosting and sponsoring of many events for my community, as well as providing multiple speeches to allow me to rise above my fear of public speaking. We also worked on enhancing our community service, our group earned the bronze and silver award for our dedication to making our community a better place.
– Over the summer I also decided to volunteer at a summer camp where we were obligated to take care of and lead younger children. I learned how to maintain responsibility and lead with care and understanding for the kids. I was motivated to make their summer a special memory that they can look back to, like I hope to make Bishop Feehan for my classmates.
– Over the course of this year I was privileged to make the Bishop Feehan volleyball team after playing volleyball for a couple of years prior, I met so many amazing people who I know helped impact my character development and encouraged me to always do my best. I learned that it’s important to be loud and confident, as well as speak up for people’s needs. Being on the team made me realize how important attitude is and keeping a positive demeanor along with being a supportive and cooperative teammate and being happy for others successes.
Leadership skills/qualities:
– I find myself to be a dedicated and motivated person who cares for the needs of my fellow classmates and can guarantee my full commitment to student council as well as to honor the best interests of the class of 2028.
– I also care a lot about my classmates’ well-being. I am in the process of joining the Feehan Against Hate club because I feel passionately about everyone feeling welcome and safe like I do here at Feehan. I was welcomed with open arms and want to encourage and spread that feeling towards other people as I appreciate it so much, and really love the people I am surrounded with at Feehan everyday.
– I am also a very organized and productive person and student. I manage all my schoolwork and prioritize my grades with hours spent studying while also being committed to volleyball being part of the senior glam club, a homeroom rep for the Santa shop, and if everything goes well the Feehan against hate club. I enjoy working hard to reach my goals and provide an organized schedule in order to organize my time productively, and I can promise my classmates that I will do the same if elected for student council.
Goals if elected:
– As a possible member of the student council I would like to represent my fellow classmates and make their first year at a new high school very special. I want to give the students a voice in our school community and ensure that everyone feels accepted and welcome here at Feehan. This comes along with planning events. I want to make special events hosted by the school to the likeness of the students and ensure they have a say in what is planned, promoting citizenship. I care strongly about my classmates’ experience at Feehan and want to show my appreciation for every student by making this year special for all of them.
– Another goal I have is bringing and encouragement to the qualities of leadership, as anyone can be a leader. I believe this could be achieved by hosting workshops and helping guide students to find what they really love and help develop leadership among each other to the benefit of our school, and make it stronger together.
– I would also set a goal for being an activist in fundraising. My family values giving strongly and helping other people is important to me. I want to help encourage participation and school spirit through many fundraisers for good causes that will bring Feehan communities together as we are lucky enough to be able to help those in need. That being said I am part of the Santa shop and am a homeroom rep which has been an amazing experience so far for me.
Why I want to serve on council: I want to serve on the student council because of how much I appreciate the opportunities that have been brought upon me these past few months here at Feehan. I came from a place in my life where I wasn’t too happy with myself and lacked confidence, which made making friends often difficult. However at Feehan I found people who I love, I feel supported in my decisions and find acceptance within my classmates. I will be forever grateful for what this school has done for me so far, and of how high quality I find the people here to be. I want to show my involvement and dedication to my classmates and this school through possibly joining student council. I want to help make this school stronger and ensure that every student feels welcomed and has a fantastic freshman year.
