Dear Lucky,
What is there to be thankful for?
I’m drowning in schoolwork- I seem to have a project, test, and quiz every single day leading up to Thanksgiving break, and I’m still busy even after we get out of school! I have to help my grandma bake pies and prepare the house for Thursday when my family will come over for dinner. I just want to sleep in for one day! I cannot find anything to be grateful for when we say grace at dinner.
Lucky, what are you thankful for?
Sincerely,
Tired Student

Dear Tired Student,
I can think of many things you can be thankful for!
You mention that you are busy every day in school with exams and projects. Although the workload seems stressful at times, you can be thankful for the privilege of going to a school where you can learn, as well demonstrate your knowledge and skills.
You can also be grateful that you have a family who wants to come over and spend time with you on Thanksgiving. It may currently seem like a chore, but spending time with your family is a memory that you will look back on and cherish. Enjoy every moment you spend with them!
Give thanks for Thanksgiving break as well. It is a time to unwind, relax, and spend your time how you would like.
As for me, I am thankful for many things. I am thankful for my community, the Feehan Family, which possesses endless school spirit. I am thankful for the Feehan sports games I get to attend, as well as being able to respond to the letters I receive from students such as yourself. Most of all, I am thankful for when the sun shines in the morning and I know the day will be a good one.
There are numerous things you can be thankful for, not only at the table during Thanksgiving dinner, but all the time. I challenge you to find something to be grateful for every day, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem. I promise that it will greatly improve your outlook on thankfulness.
Good luck, Tired Student, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Sincerely,
Lucky
