Every year during the week of homecoming, Bishop Feehan students come together and choreograph a skit based on their class theme. The skits show class spirit and Feehan pride. This year the homecoming theme was music genres.
Each grade was given a different music genre to base and choreograph the skit around, which left room for many different interpretations. The Freshman were given the theme disco. They incorporated music from the musical Mamma Mia as well as other 70s music. The Sophomores were given the theme rock where they incorporated props like blown-up guitars and more. The Juniors were given the theme of country. They incorporated different music artists and different famous country dances.
When talking to the Junior class president, Bridgette McGinnis, about the skit she stated, “ It meant a lot that people wanted to sign up and be involved. It was so good to see the growth from last year.”
Lastly, the Seniors theme was pop. They went above and beyond with their skit making it the longest and most memorable. It incorporated multiple different props, music stars, dances, famous halftime shows, and more. The skit takes place on the day before homecoming, Friday (10/18). It is the last chance for each class to showcase their school spirit and creativity. With the senior skit winning the most popular vote, the juniors came in second place, sophomores in third, and, freshmen in last.
