Homecoming Week at Bishop Feehan can only mean one thing for the Feehan fall sports teams and their supporters: it is time for the two most exciting days of the fall athletic season! A Homecoming Weekend filled with fierce competitions and exciting victories, the Friday of Homecoming Weekend started off with an early three-thirty game as JV field hockey played against Medfield High School. Then Freshman and JV volleyball team faced off against Walpole High School. Then, at five o’clock the much anticipated varsity sports games began. Girls Varsity Field Hockey opened Homecoming Weekend with a strong four to one win over Medfield High School.
Then Girls Varsity Volleyball followed with an energetic three set victory over Walpole High School. Girls Varsity Soccer closed out a competitive Friday night by beating Strongsville High School, a once nationally ranked team, with a score of one to zero. Kileigh Gorman scored the goal that helped the Shamrocks claim a victory over the Mustangs. The next day, Shamrock supporters were up early to watch the Boys JV and Varsity Soccer games. Boys Varsity Soccer had a tough loss to Walpole High School, ending with a final score of zero to four. The last game of Homecoming was the Varsity Football game. It drew the largest crowd and celebration of all Homecoming athletic events. Varsity Football played a spectacular game that was made up of many great plays by a variety of players. The Shamrocks were victorious over Cardinal Spellman, winning by a margin of twenty-seven points, and a final score of forty-eight to twenty-one.
